I have worked in various areas of mental health care for approximately 35 years, with a variety of populations. For many years I did Hospice work, both with patients and families and after the death of the patient helping families work through their grief. I have worked with people with HIV/AIDS and with soldiers dealing with the effects of combat and war. For several years I have worked for a care system in Northern New York, part of that time working on their inpatient psychiatric unit and part of it in their outpatient mental health clinic. Over my career I have been blessed to accompany my clients on their journey and I feel that my work has been a gift to me. As for my specialties, I would say life transitions, dealing with depression, anxiety and grief are parts of life that I can be most helpful with.
