I graduated from University of the Cumberlands with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am excited to join the Coastal Samaritan team. I also have a Bachelor’s in Christian Ministry from Messiah University, and I am looking forward to applying both my passion for ministry and my clinical experience to working with clients at Coastal Samaritan. I love working with individuals to help them gain renewed understanding, compassion, and acceptance for themselves as they experience both the ups and downs of life.
I use a strength-based and person-centered approach when working with individuals, couples, and families to help them cope with anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, grief/loss, mood disorders, substance use, relationship issues, trauma, and chronic illness/pain. I am also trauma-informed and often incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based approaches into therapy, but I uniquely alter treatment to meet each individual’s personality and needs. I am happy to incorporate a client’s faith or spirituality into their therapy, if that is something they desire.
My main goal in counseling is to meet clients where they are and create a safe space where they can fully be themselves and receive comfort and support as they journey through life’s challenges.
