Dr. Tommy Vaughn brings over four decades of counseling, human service leadership, and ministry experience as he returns to CSCC, serving previously as a staff counselor for several years. Tommy will be supporting CSCC primarily with community outreach, counselor training/supervision, and continuing education. Most recently, Tommy was employed with the Horry County Schools as a clinical mental health counselor.
In addition to his clinical and leadership experience, Tommy has taught in higher education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, Tommy teaches as an adjunct faculty member at B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary at East Texas Baptist University, where he received his PhD in counseling. Tommy’s research and teaching focuses on the integration of a faith-based worldview in counseling and preparing for Christian ministry.
Tommy’s unique background and experience bring expanding opportunities to CSCC as the Center looks to grow its community connections and educational opportunities.
