Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and explore options for counseling. Life is difficult. Everyone gets stuck at times and it is okay to ask for help. Taking the first steps towards counseling can be scary and filled with uncertainty. If you choose to pursue counseling, the counseling relationship can provide a safe place for you to be heard, explore, grow, and find hope and healing.
As your counselor, I will:
- Listen to your story
- Seek to understand before being understood
- Walk alongside and empower you, giving you tools to reach your goals, and increase your holistic health (Physical, Psychological, Social, and Spiritual).
As an LPC, I provide counseling for individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups. I have experience working with presenting problems including anxiety, depression, relational issues, marital conflict, grief/loss, emotional regulation and coping skills, parenting skills, self-esteem, and spiritual concerns. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I am a native of Woodstock, Georgia and I am happily married to Peter. My husband and I are active in ministry in the Myrtle Beach area. I enjoy listening to music, being outdoors, playing volleyball, and going to the beach.
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
